Welcome to Ezlaw. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Ezlaw Chrome extension and related services ("Service"). By using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.

By installing, accessing, or using Ezlaw, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Ezlaw.
If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Description of Service
Ezlaw is a Chrome browser extension that uses artificial intelligence to analyze and summarize legal documents, including Terms of Service, Privacy Policies, End User License Agreements (EULAs), and other legal text found on websites.
The Service provides:
- AI-powered summarization of legal documents
- Risk classification of clauses and terms
- Instant analysis of selected text
- PDF export functionality (PRO plan)
- Priority processing (PRO plan)
Important: Ezlaw is an informational tool designed to help you understand legal documents. It does not provide legal advice and should not be used as a substitute for professional legal counsel.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Ezlaw. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that:
- You are at least 18 years of age
- You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
- You are not prohibited from using the Service under applicable law
- All information you provide is accurate and complete
4. User Accounts
4.1 Account Creation
To access certain features of Ezlaw, you must create an account. When creating an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain and promptly update your account information
- Maintain the security of your password
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
4.2 Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Ezlaw will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account information.
4.3 Account Information
We collect and store the following information associated with your account:
- Email address (used for authentication and communications)
- Full name (optional)
- Password (encrypted and never stored in plain text)
- Subscription status and billing information (via Stripe)
5. Subscription and Payment
5.1 Free Trial
Ezlaw PRO includes a 7-day free trial. During the trial period, you will have full access to PRO features. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be automatically charged for your subscription.
5.2 Subscription Plans
Ezlaw PRO is available for €1.99 per month or €20 per year (save €4). The subscription includes:
- 100 summaries per month
- Advanced AI analysis
- Risk classification
- Priority processing
- Email support
- Export summaries as PDF
5.3 Billing and Payments
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method:
- Subscription fees are charged in advance on a recurring basis
- You will be billed at the beginning of each billing cycle
- All fees are non-refundable except as required by law
- Prices are subject to change with 30 days notice
5.4 Cancellation and Refunds
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation:
- You will continue to have access until the end of your current billing period
- No refunds will be provided for partial months
- Your account will revert to a free tier (if available) or be deactivated
- All exported data will remain accessible during the billing period
5.5 Usage Limits
PRO subscribers are limited to 100 summaries per month. Usage resets at the beginning of each billing cycle. If you exceed your limit, you may:
- Wait until your next billing cycle
- Contact us to discuss higher usage plans
6. Acceptable Use
6.1 Permitted Use
You may use Ezlaw solely for personal or internal business purposes to understand legal documents you encounter online.
6.2 Prohibited Activities
You agree NOT to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service
- Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the Service to third parties
- Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
- Use the Service to provide legal advice to others
- Circumvent usage limits or billing mechanisms
- Share your account credentials with others
- Access or use the Service in a way that could damage our reputation
6.3 Content Processing
When you use Ezlaw to analyze documents:
- You must have the right to process the content
- You are responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable laws
- We process content in real-time and do not store analyzed documents
- We may retain anonymized usage data for service improvement
7. Intellectual Property
7.1 Ezlaw's Rights
All rights, title, and interest in and to the Service, including all software, algorithms, designs, trademarks, logos, and content, are owned by Ezlaw or its licensors. These Terms do not grant you any intellectual property rights except as expressly stated.
7.2 Your Rights
You retain all rights to documents you analyze using Ezlaw. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your selected content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
7.3 Feedback
If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, modify, and incorporate such feedback without any obligation to you.
8. Disclaimers and Limitations
8.1 No Legal Advice
EZLAW DOES NOT PROVIDE LEGAL ADVICE. The Service is an informational tool only. You should not rely on Ezlaw summaries as a substitute for professional legal counsel. Always consult with a qualified attorney for legal matters.
8.2 Service Warranty
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
- AI summaries will be completely accurate or comprehensive
- The Service will meet your specific requirements
- Any errors or defects will be corrected
8.3 Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EZLAW SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.
Our total liability to you for all claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or €100, whichever is greater.
8.4 Accuracy of AI Analysis
While our AI is trained on extensive legal documents, we cannot guarantee 100% accuracy. You should:
- Always read important sections of legal documents yourself
- Verify critical information independently
- Consult legal professionals for important decisions
- Use Ezlaw as a supplementary tool, not a primary source
9. Termination
9.1 Termination by You
You may terminate your account at any time by:
- Canceling your subscription through your account settings
- Uninstalling the Chrome extension
- Contacting us at support@ezlaw.io
9.2 Termination by Ezlaw
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, if:
- You breach these Terms
- You engage in prohibited activities
- We are required to do so by law
- Your account has been inactive for an extended period
- We discontinue the Service (with reasonable notice)
9.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination:
- Your right to use the Service immediately ceases
- We may delete your account data after a reasonable period
- You remain responsible for all charges incurred before termination
- Sections that should survive termination will continue to apply
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes:
- We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
- We will notify you via email or through the Service
- Significant changes will be announced with 30 days notice
- Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance
If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must stop using the Service and cancel your subscription.

12. General Provisions
12.1 Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union and applicable local laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
12.2 Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through good faith negotiations. If negotiations fail, disputes may be resolved through binding arbitration or in courts of competent jurisdiction.
12.3 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
12.4 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Ezlaw regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
12.5 Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your account without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction.
12.6 Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
12.7 Force Majeure
Ezlaw shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, war, terrorism, riots, natural disasters, or governmental actions.
Acknowledgment
By using Ezlaw, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.
